Bring Your Goalkeeper Up for Corner Kicks

Set your attacking mode to Ultra Offensive to bring your keeper up in the final minutes. This only works if you are not winning the game.

Chip the Goalkeeper

When the goalie comes out of the net on a breakway, hit LB/L1 + Shoot to chip the ball over the keeper’s head. Don’t press too hard or you will sail the ball over the goal.

Experiment with Different Teams

Most people play with Man U, Barcelona, etc. Remember, there are thousands of teams to choose from. Experiment with different clubs until you find one that fits your playing style and attitude!

Score a Penalty Kick

Most opponents will make their keeper dive when attempting to save a penalty kick. Move your joystick down to shoot the ball down the middle. 60% of penalties are shot down the middle. Why? Because it works
For a more advanced shot, here’s a trick to score 95% of your penalties:
Use finesse shot and angle the shot to the upper corner (left or right). This is the most difficult shot for the goalie to save in penalty situations. Hold RB/R1 while pressing shot to perform a finesse shot.

Perform a Wall Pass
A 1-2 or wall pass is a great way to beat a defender without using movies or skills. Press LB/L1 + pass to make a wall pass.
Clearing the ball
The easiest way to allow more goals is to turn over the ball in your defensive 3rd. When in doubt, kick it out. Press B/0 to clear the ball out of your defensive area.
Practice Free Kicks in the Arena
After you press start on the intro FIFA screen, you are taken to the arena where it’s just you and the goalkeeper. Press any direction on the control pad to initiate a free kick situation. This is a great opportunity to practice taking free kicks from all different angles.
