How to score easy goals
Are you struggling to score goals? If so, I’ve been there before. Try these three simple tips…they are sure to help!
Let go of sprint before you shoot
If you find a lot of shots are going over the bar, slow down before you shoot. Let go of sprint before shooting to settle your player, then have a shot on goal.
Finesse shooting
When you’re one-on-one with the keeper, try a finesse shot to curl the ball around the keeper. Press RB or R1 to take a finesse shot.
Conserve your energy
Don’t hold down the sprint button the entire game. Your player will become tired quicker. Instead, only sprint when entering open space or when chasing down an attacking opponent. I put together a comprehensive article filled with shooting tips and tricks. You’ll really enjoy it
1 v 1 Against the Keeper
When you are 1v1 against the keeper you will have to patient, don’t rush the shot. During the game there is an option to have the 2D map of the whole field. You should always play with this option on because sometimes the other player will try and rush his keeper out and unless you’re aware and prepared for this tactic you won’t see it coming and most likely waste a golden opportunity to score. If they pull out the keeper past the 18 yard box, the best way to score is to chip it over the keeper. If the keeper stays in the box aim for one of the corners.
Control Your Dribble
The biggest mistake people make is holding the ‘turbo’ button while dribbling. If you’re holding the ‘turbo’ button all the time you will never have the control and responsiveness needed of your player and the ball to create space. When you need to make a cut with the ball or maneuver your way around a defender, the best way to do this is to let go of the ‘turbo’ button. You should only be pressing ‘R2″ if you have a breakaway (just you and the goalie), are trying to catch the attacker, and if you are going straight. If you are trying to make cuts, let go of the ‘turbo’ button and you will have more control of your player on offense and defense.
